My husband bought my first wheel about 15 years ago and I was hooked. I spent any free time I had watching videos and throwing. Granted, with 4 active kids and a full time job, my free time was limited. Soon after he got me a kiln and my back yard studio began.
We always joked that when our kids were grown, if they didn't leave home, we would. Well, last year, the joke was on them when we moved to camp, here in Old Forge, full time. We enjoy the outdoors and when I'm not outside with my 2 crazy scotty dogs, I'm playing in the mud. Since we've moved up north, I've had to put pottery on hold a bit so we can build a garage which will contain my new studio. The roof is on and we're plugging ahead. So when the opportunity to work in the community studio here at View presented itself, I had to take it! And here we are.
