Greg Klein

Community Arts Manager

I was born in Kansas and raised in Nebraska.   After studying art for a couple of years in college, I did a 180 and I ended up getting my degree in Wildlife Biology at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

My love for mountains took me west and I ended up in Colorado for 10 years.  I gained a variety of experience in Colorado, working in field biology, pharmaceutical quality control, and drinking water security.  During that time, I fell back into love with art and soon found myself in a different mountain range near the east coast.    Since my move to Old Forge in 2009, I’ve been oil painting professionally and I’m currently represented by 4 galleries in upstate New York.

I spend a lot of time with my daughter and together we enjoy skiing, hiking, camping, kayaking, and martial arts.  I also enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends, percussion, live music, and going to the beautiful Strand Theatre to watch movies.

I joined the team at View right after the New Year in 2024. I’m looking forward to helping visitors and our community enjoy the arts in the wonderful Adirondacks.
