Steve Sayer
Steve Sayer, an Oswego native, is retired from IBM after 37 years with the company. He began working in New York City in hardware sales with successive assignments, including IBM Credit Corporation in Stamford, Ct., international sales and contract development with a special office for General Electric in Norwalk, CT, and at IBM’s Software Group in Columbus and Philadelphia. He graduated from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY with a degree in Math.
Sayer’s not-for-profit experience includes The Columbus Literacy Council in several positions, including Board President; Great Camp Sagamore as Board Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee; Camp Fire Club of America as Board Secretary and Endowment Committee Chairman; and at the Adirondack League Club in Old Forge, where he leads three committees — Endowment, Scholarship, and Shooting Sports. Steve and his wife Nancy share their time between Third Lake in Old Forge and coastal South Carolina in the Palmetto Bluff community. They have two married children — Scott, who lives in the Boston area, and Kate, who lives in Alexandria, VA.
