Overview

THIS CLASS IS NOW FULL!  Five week virtual Zoom course:  Registration includes the following dates:  Sundays, January 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, and February 2nd.

Instructor:  Amy E. Bartell, via Zoom.  Start the new year by focusing on the basics – building blocks that make images “work.” In this five-week course we’ll cover composition, color, light/shadow, texture, and point of view.  This course is OPEN TO EVERYONE – artists and non-artists – those of you drawn to making images and /or appreciating them.

Each week we’ll cover a foundation principle. In between classes, bring this foundation along with you through your artwork or through the lens of your cell phone or other camera. Use the weekly principle as the lens through which you look at the world. Send me an image, a photo, a drawing — whatever medium you choose. Together we’ll look at submitted work and have a conversation about what you shared.

Designed to be fun, welcoming, eye-opening, inclusive and accessible, this course will offer you new ways to look at and make images. Five-Week Foundations is a toolbox to see things differently.  Not zoom savvy? Amy can provide guidance.
