Overview

No previous pottery experience required!  Friendly and approachable teacher, Kristen Martin, will provide demonstrations and hands on instruction covering the fundamentals of wheel throwing.  Students will learn how to prepare clay, center, open, pull shape and trim clay on the wheel and then finish their pieces with glaze.  Those with previous experience will be able to refine their throwing techniques, build new skills and challenge themselves with more advanced and consistent forms.

This is a 6 week class, meeting weekly on Tuesdays from 10am to 1pm.  The first 3 hours will be demonstration and instruction followed by an optional 2 hours of supervised practice time.  Supplies included.  Additional firing tickets may be required.
