Central Adirondack Art Show

Held for the first time in 1951 by View founder Miriam Kashiwa, originally in her front yard, the Central Adirondack Art Show is a long-standing Old Forge tradition. The Central Adirondack Art Show is open to all and features artists from throughout the Central Adirondack region and beyond. The exhibition accepts all artists, age 16 and up, working in any media, who reside within 200 miles of Old Forge, New York.

 

*Please join us for the Opening Reception on Saturday, March 15, 2025: 4 - 6 pm. The reception is free and open to the public.

  • Drop-off Dates: 
March 2nd-3rd, 2025: 11 am - 3 pm
  • Opening Reception:
*Change in date, in consideration of our community St. Patrick's Day Parade*
March 15th, 2025: 4 - 6 pm
Awards will be presented at the reception.
  • Pick Up: 
May 18th - 19th, 2025: 11 am - 3 pm
  • You can only enter 1 piece per artist.
  • The commission rate is  65%/35%, 35% to View.

Liz Belyea

Liz Belyea brings experience in museum programming, education, and cultural heritage to the jury panel at View. She holds an M.A. in Museum Studies from New York University, and currently serves as the Public Programs Manager at the Adirondack Experience, where she oversees the creation and execution of mission-driven programs and events, blending history and artistry together to engage diverse audiences. Liz also serves on the board of the Indian Lake Theater, contributing to programming and strategic planning for the historic community venue. She is a fan of impressionist-style artwork, particularly the works of Claude Monet and Gustav Klimt, and more locally she enjoys the colorful landscapes of painter Harold Weston. Outside of work, Liz enjoys hiking, kayaking, and cooking up new recipes at home.
