About the Exhibition:
Adirondack National Pastel Exhibition 2022 is the 8th annual pastel show sponsored by View and the Adirondack Pastel Society. View is a dynamic Center for Arts and Culture based in Adirondack Region. To learn more about the View visit: www.viewarts.org.

Theme and Eligibility:
This is a national/international open call opportunity for any artist working in soft pastel. Work must be for Sale. This show is open to all artists working in soft pastel medium not oil pastels. Work must be original, not copied from another artist, or completed in a classroom/workshop under the supervision of an instructor.

Awards:
Best of Show: $650, Second: $300, Third: $150, additional cash prizes and merchandise will be awarded.

Nonrefundable Jurying Fee:
Each artist may submit a total of 5 images: $35 for two images, $40 for 3 and $10 for each additional image. (Both View and Adirondack Pastel Society qualify for member price). Non- members: $45 for two images and $50 for 3 and $10 for each additional image. Each artist may select 5 pieces but only 1 may be accepted. Payable online @ www.showsubmit.com

Accepted Artwork:
All artwork must be framed, ready to hang with screw eyes and wire, glass or plexiglass and no sawtooth hangers. All entries will go through: www.showsubmit.com . View and the Adirondack Pastel Society reserves the right of final decision on presentation of the exhibition and the works presented. No artwork is to be removed from View until the conclusion of the exhibition.

Notification:
Artists will be notified of jury results by email during the week of April 21, 2022. Award winners will be announced at the reception at View @ Old Forge New York on June 10, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Publicity:
View and the Adirondack Pastel Society will publicize the show regionally via email marketing, paid print advertising, press releases, website, and social media promotion.

Submission Guidelines:
All submissions through www.showsubmit.com. Save as a JPEG. Name the file: Last name first _first initial _title of art piece.com. Follow www.showsubmit.com guidelines for sizing and submitting pieces.

Commission:
Artist will receive 60% on any work sold at the View. View and the Adirondack Pastel Society retain 40% on any sales made during or resulting from the exhibition at View.

Photography:
Artist agrees to allow the Adirondack Pastel Society and View to use images of artworks for promotional purposes.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up:
All Accepted Artists will drop off their art at View @ Old Forge, New York on Friday, May 20, 2022, Gallery hours or by appointment by View. Artwork can be shipped to View @ Old Forge, New York. The address for shipment:
View Center for Arts and Culture, 3273 St. Rt. 28, PO box 1144, Old Forge, New York 13420. Deadline for receipt of shipped artwork: May 20, 2022.

Work Being Shipped:
All shipping is at the expense of the artist. You must include a prepaid shipping label for the return of the work. Address for shipping: View Center for Arts & Culture, 3273 St. Rt.28, P.O. Box 1144, Old Forge, NY 13420. There will be a $10 handling fee for each package shipped to View, check should be included in shipping made out to View. This fee covers condition reporting and photographing of the work as it arrives, and the repacking at the conclusion of the exhibition. Accepted artists will receive
detailed information by email regarding shipping and handling requirements. All ACCEPTED ARTWORK MUST BE MAILED or DELIVERED to View at Old Forge by May 20, 2022. It is recommended artists obtain insurance when shipping.
