Featuring a selection of art quilts by members of the NY-NJ Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA).
Contrast in art–whether visual or conceptual–is the juxtaposition of obvious difference. It is a design tool used by artists that brings energy, conveys meaning, evokes emotion, and guides the observer’s eye. byCONTRAST encourages artists to intentionally use opposing elements or ideas in a way that will create a composition that adds drama and emphasizes an idea.
