Overview

"Imagery in Fiber" explores the dynamic relationship between textile arts and visual storytelling, where fibers serve not only as a medium but also as a language of expression. This exhibition brings together contemporary artists who push the boundaries of traditional textile techniques, embedding narrative, memory, and meaning into their works through complex imagery and text. Fiber arts have long been a vessel for cultural and personal stories, from ancient tapestries to modern-day quilts. In this collection, each piece reflects the artist’s ability to manipulate texture, color, and material, transforming them into intricate visual statements. The exhibition spans a range of methods—embroidery, weaving, felting, and mixed media, each harnessed to convey messages that resonate with contemporary issues such as identity, environment, and community.
