Overview

Come join local potter/instructor, Bette Rintrona, for this two day class, making and decorating beautiful ceramic Trays.  This class is appropriate for both beginners and more advanced potters. The trays will be formed by slumping soft slabs into a special rectangular mold. They are easy and a lot of fun to make!  Participants will also be learning techniques for forming handles and decorating with wooden stamps and beautiful sprigs created in flexible molds. These trays are very useful for food presentation and organization of kitchen or bathroom items. They make wonderful Christmas gifts for family and friends.

Day 1 will be the construction of the tray, including handle making and tray decoration with stamps and sprigs from 10-1pm.  Day 2 will be glazing of the tray using the studio's signature glazes, which will be a shorter class from 10-12pm.  View will fire the glazed trays to be picked up at a later date.  Trays measure approximately 9"x14".

The class limit is 8 students, so be sure to sign up early.

No previous pottery experience is required.

All materials and firing fees are included in the cost of the class.
