Artistic Communities

Not every artist wants to showcase his or her work. Maybe you just want a place where you can paint with friends and talk about art, or you need a space for ceramic work. At View, you can still create the art you love in a group setting with like-minded artists of varying skill levels.

Mountain Air Painters

Mountain Air Painters

We are an eclectic group of painters from Old Forge and beyond, including Big Moose, Utica, Cazenovia, and Waterville who meet at a variety of amazing locations to do what we love most — paint!

  • Painters of all skill levels are welcome.
  • Painters from Old Forge and surrounding areas are welcome.
  • We take our painting on the road to capture local scenes in and around the Adirondacks from May through October.
Independent Potter Shelf

Independent Potters and Ceramics

This program is for experienced potters only. We find it’s best to take part in a class at View first in order to learn the flow of the studio. Those interested in joining will:

  • Meet with the studio management team.
  • Complete the required orientation, which is scheduled at regular intervals throughout the year. During orientation you will be trained on each piece of equipment in the studio.
  • Demonstrate your ability to use all studio equipment safely.
