Ceramic Rain Chain

Come to View Art Center and learn to hand build a ceramic rain chain using either slabs or pinch pots.  Form your cup pieces, decorate them with rollers, stamps and underglaze.  Choose your glaze color and View will glaze and fire them for you.  Come back the following week and use either copper or aluminum wire to put them together.  Creating a unique piece of ceramic art to be used in place of a down spout.  

Rain chains are a beautiful yet functional alternative to traditional downspouts. They can serve an important role in managing rainwater run-off from a roof while also adding an artistic element to a home's exterior.

No previous pottery experience is required.

All materials and firing fees are included in the cost of the class.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least 10 days prior to the first day of a class will receive a 100% refund, or can be exchanged for another class. Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the first day of class can only be exchanged for another class. No refunds or exchanges will be made for failing to show up to class without prior notice.

In the event that View were to cancel a class, a full refund for the class will be issued.
